A Brighton & Hove Albion Jersey on my Wall of Threads?

So about that Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club jersey I had hanging in my studio...

Teva Hesse and Vivien Loseby at C.F. Møller Architects in the UK approached me a while back regarding a new shul/community centre being built in Brighton. They were going for a very modern look, full of neutrals, light wood and pops of turquoise. They mentioned that the donor wanted to step away a bit form the old-fahsioned traditional parochets he'd seen his whole life and try something new, young and fresh.

Who's the parochet donor, you ask? Marc Sugarman, Director of the Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club! He told me that he had spent several months searching the web for just the right parochet, and when he found my website, he knew he had found the right place!
"I like the fact that your work is traditional with a modern twist!"

Anyway- someone suggested incorporating the team's colors (blue/yellow/white) in the parochet, as well as including their signature seagull somewhere on the parochet. Seagulls are not kosher. We weren’t sure if to include a seagull on the parochet or not?

After discussing this question with the Rabbi, donor, architect and committee and weighing the pros and cons, it was decided to raise the issue with the Cheif Rabbi of England. And, we got to a conclusion that we were making, a lively, colorful, joyful Tree of Life, giving shelter to several 'birds'. You can decide what birds they are exactly.

When all was said and done, we were onto the embroidery machine, here in Bnei Brak. While in the shul, coordinating with the shul's decor and adding that POP that the committee was after.

Here is a close-up, is it a bird, is it a plane, it's.... (you decide!)

Here is the Parochet in its Glory! It for sure won the game ;)

An added bonus, Rabbi Sir Ephraim Yitzchak Mirvis, the Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth, looking at the parochet!

Everyone was thrilled! Rabbi, donor, architect, congregants!
